Erasmus
Utrecht Theological University participates in the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. This program offers students the opportunity to study temporarily at a European institution with which there is an agreement. However, you must be selected for this.
The basis of these agreements are the signed Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS). These can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
The special feature of this exchange opportunity is that the participating student continues to pay tuition to the home institution and does not pay tuition to the host institution. From the home institution, the student receives a scholarship for reimbursement of expenses. In addition, the home institution fully recognizes the credits earned at the host institution.
There are, of course, obligations attached to these special opportunities. For example, it must be clear in advance, in consultation with the home and host institution, what goals you want to achieve. In addition, a language test is an obligatory part of the program. The rights and obligations of an Erasmus student are described in an Erasmus+ Student Charter.
Are you interested in the Erasmus+ program? Then contact the International Office of your home institution for information about the possibilities and what scholarship amount you can count on!
Students with a disability who need extra facilities can apply for an additional grant in some cases.
