NL Scholarship

Note: We cannot consider you for a scholarship if you have not yet entered the process of application for one of our programmes. Before filling out any forms, contact us at international@tukampen.nl to see if you can be enrolled at our University at all.

If you wish to study in any other field than theology, you cannot apply for this scholarship through our university. Refer to this page for more information.

NL Scholarship (Study in The Netherlands)

NL Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. The scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelor’s or master’s in The Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Scholarship amount

The scholarship amounts to € 5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies.

Application criteria

• Your nationality is non-EEA.
• You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
• You meet the specific  requirements of the Theologische Universiteit Kampen.
• You have never before studied at an education institution in the Netherlands.

How to apply

You can apply for the NL Scholarship at the Theologische Universiteit Utrecht by emailing our international office (international@tuu.nl. You can apply for the scholarship before May 1st.  2024. You need to apply for a Bachelor’s or Masters at one of these institutions to be considered for the Scholarship. The institution will select those who will be granted the scholarship and communicate directly with you.

NL Scholarship (WilWeg – Outside of Europe)

For whom?

The NL Scholarship is available for students of the TUK who want to study, do research or an internship outside of the EEA.

Scholarship amount

The scholarship amounts to a one-off payment of € 2,500 and is meant as a contribution towards your study expenses.

Selection criteria

• You are following a full-time programme at the TUK.
• You will use the scholarship for studying, doing research or an internship with a minimum duration of 7 weeks and a minimum of 10 ECTS.
• Your study, research or internship will take place in a country outside the EEA.

How to apply

You need to apply for the NL Scholarship at the International Office: international@tuu.nl.

There is no application deadline, but we recommend that you apply for the scholarship at least 4 months before you plan to go abroad.
