Podcasts

Utrecht Theological University believes it is important to share its knowledge with church and society. Part of this is making various podcasts, often in cooperation with partner organizations such as the PThU. Below you can see an overview of what is offered and find links to listen to podcasts.

Holy Ground

This is Holy Ground. The theological podcast that reflects on the ground beneath your feet. At the sacred as well as the mundane. At burning issues. At God speaking.
Come in, take off your shoes for a moment. Holy Ground is a podcast by the Protestant Theological University and the Theological University Utrecht. Presenter: Koos Tamminga.

In the podcast, presenter Koos Tamminga engages in conversation with his guests about topics that chafe, themes that concern the church today and current social issues. On holy ground we come to listen, and from that listening to understand and speak openly with each other. Although our guests think differently, we want the podcast to show what happens when we engage with each other. Where it chafes, but where we still want to understand and come closer together. That’s where “Holy Ground” treads. Theologically profound and academic, without becoming incomprehensible to the theologically untrained listener.

Theology by the canal

Theology by the canal is a podcast from Utrecht Theological University about… theology. An unabashed theological conversation by TUU professors and researchers about the craft of theology.

The solid core of the podcast is formed by Koert van Bekkum, Old Testament lecturer and professor at the ETF in Leuven. Also Marinus de Jong, associate professor of theology of neo-Calvinism. And Myriam Klinker-De Klerck, associate professor of New Testament. Alternately, other researchers, lecturers and professors from TUU will join to talk about various theological topics.
