The Board of Directors of the Utrecht Theological University cordially invites you to celebrate the university’s 170th Dies Natalis. Rector Magnificus Professor George Harinck will review the past year in the

Fata Academica 2024.

An honorary doctorate will be awarded to

Professor Karin Maag,
professor at Calvin University and Calvin Theological Seminary and director of
The Henry H. Meeter Center for Calvin Studies, Grand Rapids, USA, for her work in the field of Calvin studies and Reformation studies.

The other honorary doctorate will be awarded to
Professor Craig Bartholomew,
a former professor at Redeemer University and director of Kirby Laing Centre for Public Theology in Cambridge, for his contribution to biblical and public theology and,
in particular, for his rejuvenation of a neo-Calvinist worldview.

Professor Maag will present a DIES speech entitled:
Calvin and the Spiritual Care of the Sick and Dying in Reformation Geneva

The festive gathering will take place in the Jacobikerk, Jacobsstraat 171 in Utrecht on 6 December, starting at 15:00 hours. Welcome from 14:30 hours on. There will be a reception and opportunity for congratulation in the church after the gathering.
