Will you help give our international students a home?
Finding an affordable room in the city of Utrecht – go figure!
More and more students are finding their way to our university. About 10% of our students come from countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Kenya, Nigeria, Brazil or Suriname. They study at the Theological University for one or two years and return to work as pastors, church leaders, teachers in theological programs.
These students welcome the solid theological training they receive to understand and proclaim God’s Word in their home countries. Even after their studies, contacts often remain. Thus TUU fulfills an important function for the church worldwide.
In Kampen these students could find a room more easily than now in Utrecht. The rent prices are at a higher level in Utrecht. That is why the TUU is committed to affordable housing for its students. Together with an investor, a first building could be purchased in Utrecht where soon 13 international students will be able to live.
Now we need your help for the upholstery and furnishing and for permanently affordable rent.
We would like to ask you for a donation of for example € 50,- or a collection in your church congregation for the Fund Christian Student Housing Utrecht, which we have established.
With this project, we concretely help brothers and sisters to make their theological training in the Netherlands possible. Their scholarship is often much narrower than ours. Will you help give our international students a home?
