Christen Student Housing Fund
Housing where Christian students can live together is scarce. The Theological University Utrecht (TUU) is committed to fostering Christian student housing in Utrecht. Through the Christian Student Housing Fund, it aims to make a meaningful contribution to the Christian student community in this area.
Finding an affordable room in the city is no easy task. Utrecht faces a shortage of student rooms, and housing options where Christian students can live together are limited. Furthermore, the TUU needs to have its own housing available in or near the city for its international students.
To address this need, the TUU established the Christian Student Housing Fund. This is a dedicated fund within the Theological University Utrecht; churches and private individuals can contribute via money, donations, or loans specifically earmarked for Christian student housing. The goal is to create affordable housing and foster a Christian sense of community around the university.
The Fund and the Foundation
The actual residential communities are formed and managed by Domus, the trading name of the *Stichting Christelijke Woongemeenschappen Utrecht* (Christian Residential Communities Utrecht Foundation).
This foundation was established to support both existing and newly created residential communities, such as the Bonfire International Community on Steve Bikostraat. The Christian Student Housing Fund and the Domus foundation work closely together but are legally distinct entities. Your donation is processed through the TUU (the fund) and supports the work of Domus. This allows you to benefit from the TUU’s ANBI status (charitable organization status), while ensuring your contribution directly serves the residential communities.
